Recipe Vault Privacy Policy

Recipe Vault ("the app", available on the web and iOS) helps you save, organize, and cook recipes. This policy describes what data the app handles and how.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address and the display name you choose, used to create and sign in to your account.
• Your content — recipes you import, grocery list items, meal plans, and photos you upload for recipe extraction. This content is private to your account and, if you explicitly invite them, members of your shared library.

How your content is processed

When you import a recipe from a link or photo, the content you chose is sent to our server and processed with third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude, and OpenAI Whisper for video transcription) to extract the recipe text. These services process the content transiently to produce your recipe and do not use it to train models.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs in the iOS app.
• We never sell your data or share it with third parties beyond the processing described above.
• Recipes are only public if you explicitly share a recipe link, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Storage and security

Data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS, US East) and protected by row-level security so only you and people you invite can access your content. All traffic is encrypted in transit.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual recipes, list items, and meal plans in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email iamandyweir@gmail.com and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.
